I've lived in Toronto for my whole life, and have seen the impacts of governments and city planning officials consistently prioritizing business over the people who live here. This is another example of this same sort of priority.
I believe we should, as citizens and people who live within the proximity of use of Ontario place, be informed and consulted on how this redevelopment would otherwise affect environmental impacts to the communities that we live in. These communities include the wildlife, and the public access to clean waterfront, and generally the ability to enjoy life while being a Torontonian
I believe Ontario place should not be a privately owned space, and should become part of the communities of Toronto that have very few free and accessible things left to do in the city. People have slowly lost their love of Toronto, and this is a shinning example of why. Both the inattention to accessible outdoor spaces, and the consistent prioritization of private business over the people who live here.
