Bill 5 is regressive harmful…

Bill 5 is regressive harmful legislation that is being rammed through without proper consultation, or thought -- other than making money. The corruption of the Ford government is like a drunk driver destroying everything good that took years of community involvement and people who care about a healthy environment so that we, too, would also be healthy -- and guess what? This is good business sense! The Ford government does not have any business sense other than to grease the palms of developer donors. Please do not proceed with this madness. Once the environment and biodiversity is gone, it won't come back for generations:

More and more people are getting cancer and other environmental sicknesses because our environment is sick, and this is costing more in health care costs and lost productivity.

--Please do not repeal Ontario’s Endangered Species Act, 2007, marking the end of meaningful protections for endangered, threatened and special concern species in Ontario.

--Please do not give Premier Ford and his Cabinet powers to give their developer friends or anyone else they choose an exemption from all provincial and municipal laws (including environmental, labour, public safety, heritage and even the Environmental Bill of Rights)

--Please do not keep Ontario dependent on imported fracked gas from the U.S by banning Chinese components in energy projects - shutting the door on clean, affordable wind and solar energy and battery storage.

--Please do not eliminate the Ontario government’s requirement for an environmental assessment of a proposed dump site in Dresden and a mine in northern Ontario
