Environmental considerations…

Environmental considerations and analysis SHOULD take time and delay any development to ensure the due diligence needed to fully examine the implications and impacts a new building (etc.) would have on the wildlife that inhabit the land proposed for development. Being thoughtful and deliberate with the use of the lands we as humans live on is the very least we can do when already so much damage is wreaked upon the environment as a whole. Construction without mindful planning is harmful. There is nothing wrong with taking time to measurably demonstrate that we are caretaking these lands and that revenue isn't the main driver of political decision-making and development.
