I value natural areas, birds and animals. They are important to all of us and for our well being. I strongly believe Ontario should PROTECT habitats for animals and migratory birds.
The existing habitat definition and protections of the Endangered Species Act should be retained. They provide a clear approach to conserving Ontario's most at risk birds as one example.
At a bare minimum, legal protection for threatened and endangered birds and animals should continue to exist for habitat on provincial crown land.
Ontario's threatened and endangered birds and animals need plans for their survival and recovery.
The land, habitats, birds and animals need us, as we need them.
