These laws were in place because it is good to protect wildlife and living things. If you stop caring about what happens to living things it will cause harm that trickles down to humans because we are all connected. If wildlife have no homes they will wander closer to the city and cause harm to people or be harmed themselves. I don’t understand why you want to expand anyway when it won’t solve anything because we can’t afford anything right now. Doug ford will not be remembered for this expansion, we will not look back a decade from now and think of him fondly. We will instead look back and wonder why we don’t see birds, insects, rabbits, and deer as much as we did back in 2025. The answer will be that Doug ford wanted to make a name for himself so he decided to poison our waters and discard our wildlife. I know you reading this don’t care and this will pass regardless, but please know my community and my students do not support this and it is another step toward a worse Ontario. Children are growing up fearing that the world will be uninhabitable by the time they’re adults. This law says “that’s right and how about I speed up the timeline”. I have so much more to say, but again, I know you don’t care, so good job, this will make the premier rich and that’s all that matters to you.
