This proposal absolutely hinders environmental protection. The whole point of these protections is to prevent development and sustain ecosystems that are already in place. By stripping away existing protections and redefining terms to suit developer interests is simply disgusting. There are other ways to address this situation without compromising the environment. I oppose Bill 5. We need stronger environmental protections. I oppose the proposed shortcuts for developers and industries with no public oversight. I oppose overriding the law in “special economic zones”. Do better.
