The GTA is growing at a terrifying rate. The fields and open spaces between Brampton and Georgetown are disappearing. The open spaces between Milton and Acton are disappearing. Brampton is encroaching on Caledon.
We are losing everything that was charming about our small towns.
The reasons why people want to move to these places are being lost, they are no longer cute, quiet towns with traces of our heritage.
The sprawl has to stop.
Who wants to look at seas of townhouses that are barely 5 feet apart?
No one wants to look at roofs as far as the eye can see. It has to stop somewhere.
We have to give consideration to the wildlife. Yes, they might be just raccoons or just opossums or just foxes but they need a space to live too! We are eating up their habitat and they are either dying as road kill or are being driven further and further out- to what end?
We need more protected areas, something has to be sacred.
We have enough subdivisions- we need more nature!
Do not take away from the Golden Horseshoe- grow it or leave it alone!
I can't stand driving and seeing more proposal signs or more bulldozed wood lots.
We can't eat money.
We can't breathe money.
We can't drink money.
The sprawl has to stop and be given a hard border- no more cookie cutter subdivisions! No more cars!
