I strongly oppose this bill as it would be detrimental to wildlife in our province as well as the safety and well being of all Ontarians for the benefit of private industry. It's repercussion will be felt for generations to come.

What good is enforcing fines after the fact when the damage is already done - to species, to nature, our waterways, and the air we breath. Will fines bring back an extinct animal? Will fines reverse poisoning of the land or water, undo illnesses like cancer caused by improperly disposed waste or chemicals leached into the environment? These fines will likely be a drop in the bucket compared to the money made by these projects and will likely become the cost of doing business.

This bill is not helping anyone but developers who will make short term profits at the expense of our land, water, native species and Indigenous rights.
Any statement that it is for the benefit of Ontarians is completely untrue.
