We cannot possibly support this bill. It is a blatant attempt by the Provincial government to remove proper oversight and give themselves power to do whatever they choose - regardless of the environmental damage it causes the province. This bill legally removes the requirement for developers to get authorization before destroying our habitats - so long as they "register" they're doing it first. They can also feel free to harass wildlife - as that restriction will be removed. The Ford government seems to think the can destroy our environment by getting rid of all oversight and making themselves their own keeper. This is massive overreach and a page out of Trump’s playbook. Ontario will not stand for this corruption.
