The species protected in this act are already endangered enough, that is why they are ON the endangered species act. Any changes to this is ludicrous unless is to guarantee more protection from their habitats being develpoed. Ontario has enough land to build on that it does not need to take away from the Green Belt. There is a reason the process is lengthy and complex to determine the impact on wildlife and existing ecosystems. It's because we as a species are destroying everything that gets in the way of our comfort and convience. As a citizen and voter, I totally oppose any changes to the systems we have in place to protect the sanctity of these areas. This government has already tried to have these lands developed and failed so now they are trying to make it legal to do it. Again, as a voter, I say NO.
