This bill will exacerbate species decline and serves immediate corporate interests over Canadians, current and future. It is also a bill that directly impacts the lands and animals of Ontario but it not being made in collaboration nor approval of the Indigenous stewards of this land.
As a young constituent who still has decades and decades to live in Ontario, I would like the government to have more care about our lands, waters, and listen to Indigenous researchers and knowledge holders in this area.
This bill undermines Indigenous rights, and not for the supposed betterment of Canadians but for the betterment of corporations.
Canadians deserve a future with healthy land. That should matter more that corporate wants and wishes.
I would want all elected officials to rescind this bill and vote no
