This proposal shows complete disrespect for nature, indigenous rights, good government, and clear thinking. It should be abandoned. Beyond the disrespect, allowing more sprawl will bankrupt Ontario as we are saddled with unsustainable communities that can be built with development fees, but then must be supported with tax dollars. If the government is serious about opening Ontario up for development they should start with zoning reform that allows people and developers to built denser housing that we can actually be supported through property tax.
