The proposal is in a nutshell a way to bypass the laws for protecting endangered species.
The government should not be deciding what species do and do not qualify as endangered.
Removing the need for a permit means builders can start building without proper oversight. In addition, the bill proposes that the committees who decide and look after endangered species will be removed and the government will choose if they want advice on the subject or not.
This proposal guarantees oversight and the further endangerment of vulnerable species. It gives sole power to the government to dictate IF they want to save the environment and the species residing in said environment.
