Bill 5 is a dangerous and misleading piece of legislation. It guts Ontario’s Endangered Species Act, paving the way for mass habitat destruction and extinction. It also gives Cabinet sweeping powers to exempt friends and donors from any provincial or municipal law with no transparency and no limits. This isn’t about economic protection; it’s about political control and environmental exploitation. Ontario needs real solutions, not authoritarian overreach.
