The proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act would enable development of land at a rate that is beyond sustainable. Natural spaces and wildlife are so important to the wellbeing of every human on the planet. A world devoid of the beauty of plants and animals is not worth living in. The existence of humans on this planet is dependent on the existence of all the other living organisms that we share space with. If we let the species around us fall towards extinction, that is the path that we too, will follow.
