I oppose Bill 5. I believe in strong environmental protections, especially for Ontario's endangered wildlife and at-risk species. The process may be slow, but it ensures that the natural world is preserved and available for future generations to enjoy and learn about. Most importantly, biodiversity is crucial in mitigating climate change and keeping our environment healthy. The bill might speed up development in the short term, but it will be devastating in the long term by crippling Ontario's resilience to climate disasters and compromise our position on committing to combat climate change.
