It seems extremely inappropriate to get rid of any current protections on endangered and threatened wildlife just to speed up the process of developing the greenbelt. Very few of Ontario citizens want this to be done and there are much better ways to invest in the province to make a more sustainable workforce. This is just the easiest and most destructive way to make money and waste taxpayer money, which in the end will make the environment worse for everyone. And that money will go into the pockets of a select few developers, not the average Ontarian.
Consider investing more in education and healthcare instead and making sure those are robust. It will be quicker too.
