As an ecologist and an Ontarian, I oppose the Ontario government’s Bill 5, which does nothing but attack on environmental protection and Indigenous rights.
The Endangered Species Act (2007) identifies species at risk based on scientific information and Indigenous traditional knowledge, ensures their protection and recovery. Your proposed amendments are aimed at doing the exact opposite: TO DESTROY.
Distinction is forever. As a stakeholder for environmental protection, I OPPOSE BILL 5.
