I am opposed to Bill 5. Please do not move forward with these changes. We instead need more protection for critical species. Industry does not need these shortcuts. We must not sacrifice Ontarios future for short term interests. Strong scientific review of any land before it is developed is critical to ensure the land is suitable for building and is not risking destroying ecosystems or creating risk to human life. We have seen over and over again how devastating removing these steps are - we need to learn from the mistakes of previous governments and make sure we maintain strong protection of Ontarians.
