There is significant issues with animals and their loss of habitat currently, stripping the little protection of their habitat that they currently have - would place them even more at risk. The lack of concern that seems to be displayed with conservation of green space and animal habitat is concerning and in the long term will have disastrous result. The amount of complaints that people already give in relation to animals living in urban areas is high - the continued loss of habitat will continue to drive up complaints and animal issues as well, as more are forced to live in urban rather than rural. Ie. The foxes that were living at the Toronto Beaches - the sheer numbers of humans that were unable to give them space to avoid desensitizing them to human contact shows the lack of concern that people already show. Please do not give opportunity for more loss of habitat when it is crucially needed.
