I strongly object to the proposed exemption from the Environmental Bill of Rights that will remove the right of Ontarians to be advised of, or to comment on, any required permits at Ontario Place, on or off site, to support the Project.
The Environmental Bill of Rights exists to ensure Ontario's environment in all its forms is protected for future generations. This applies to Ontario Place as I have concerns related to protection of this fragile waterfront ecosystem.
This proposal is not in the public interest. The Ford government does not have the support of all Ontarians, even if they won the election. They are not looking out for the future of the province. Economic prosperity is not the only factor in representing Ontario.
