I have several concerns:
1. While it is good that the list of endangered species will be science based, the fact that the government can remove species from the list doesn't make any sense to me. For example, if an endangered mammal uses a specific path that is in the way of a development, the government could arbitrarily remove it from the list, rather than developing a mitigation or adaptation strategy such as a tunnel or overpass.
2. The new definition of habitat doesn't make sense to me. A mammal like a fox for example, lives in a small den, but hunts and feeds on a relatively wide area around the den. He doesn't find food in his den.
Thanks for considering these points.
