While I understand the need to streamline approvals and to eliminate duplication, I do not support the roposed changes to the Endangered Species Act and am definitely opposed to its elimination.
My experience with advisory committees is that they provide the best way for people outside of government to have their voice heard. I hope you will reconsider the elimination of thesee committees.
More clearly defining "habitat" makes sense. Removing duplication with federal acts makes a great deal of sense. I suggest that this act should focus on those two things and not risk throwing the baby out with the bath water. Small steps will entail much less risk.
