As a resident of Ontario, I strongly oppose Bill 5. I want stronger environmental protections and the protection of endangered species. I oppose shortcuts that override protections that have been in place for many years. Further, I oppose overriding the law in special economic zones.

There are SO many more ways to expedite/support housing. Municipalities needs to be better staffed/resourced to review development proposals - the government needs to stop changing the land use planning landscape and making the entire process more complicated than it already is. If the government empowered MMAH and other ministries to meaningfully consult with the key players across the sector, I think there could be powerful results that result in change and may actually work towards the goals this government has set out.
