I spend enough time in the woods and outdoors to understand that the proposed alternative to the use of the word 'habitat' (aka den or nest) is so vastly minimal it's laughable and shameful at the same time. No animal can survive on what a den/nest provides.

Also the idea that Ford wants to scrap the independent body's (COSSARO) ability to decide what species are at risk, and instead have the province make those calls under the ESA doesn't make sense. Why we are undoing that work/effort/research?

And on that note, removing harassment as of a protected species as a prohibited act IS NOT what is going to give us more housing. We need centralization and building up in cities, not just surburban sprawl where there's no facilities and infastructure.
