This is an outrage. This completely undermines the democratic process in Ontario, offering sweeping, autocratic powers to the office of the premier who frankly cannot be trusted as he has already been caught up in a number of private interest scandals. Ontario's protections for endangered species are world class and once species and habitat are lost, they cannot be restored. We will pay in the long term for this reckless, self-enriching, anti-science decision.
