I am deeply disappointed to see that the Ontario government - one that was recently elected in good faith by the voters in this province - is putting in such efforts to override the environmental protections that have been so hard fought.

I have a young child and another on the way. The legacy that we leave for them isn't just a question of impressions and minutiae, it's a cold hard reality (or, in this case, perhaps a far too hot one) that will affect their physical day-to-day wellbeing.

We know that projections of climate change mean that we will be seeing populations and species of animals and plants at increased risk, and we need to be doing everything in our power today to give them a fighting chance to continue life as we know it. Please don't take this chance away from them, and stick us with a worse-off world for the sake of someone else's profit.
