The potential economic gains that could result from this bill are in no way equal in significance to the damage that our Ontario ecosystems would undergo as a result of decreased scientific assessments and a repealed Endangered Species Act. We need more protections for our environment, not less. An improved economy will mean absolutely nothing if in the end our planet is rendered uninhabitable, which is becoming a very real possibility due to leaders who support bills like these. I beg you, unless you have a real education in biodiversity and ecology and understand the ramifications of industrial development on our delicate ecosystems, do not pass this bill lightly.
Sincerely,
A concerned Ontarian
