I strongly oppose changes to our endangered species legislation. No one elected this government to kill off endangered species for no economic benefit. There has been no analysis presented that demonstrates that removing protections of wildlife will result in a stronger province or economy.
This move is consistent with innumerable reductions in environmental protection, be it for water, the lost Growth Plan and its natural heritage system, or the endless ways democracy is upended to give undemocratic powers to Mayors who agree with your government's approach to growth: approve now, leave the consequences for future generations. Shame.
