I oppose Bill 5. We have to do whatever we can to protect our environment. As we've experienced in recent years, the development of our land (concrete) has been leading to worse and worse flooding, outside of the floodplains. Carbon emissions and waste are contributing to health issues for all Ontario citizens. Without our diverse ecosystem, soil suffers, and every level of the foodchain suffers, including insects that we rely on to pollinate ontario's farmers' crops to make food for us. As I write compelling logical reasons to oppose this, I also want to share the emotional, spiritual side: We need our environment .We need green spaces and wild spaces. Future generations depend on us to keep Ontario liveable and abundant. Thank you.
