Our land and the people, animals, and plants that it nurtures are sacred to us and are irreplaceable. I strongly denounce Bill 5 to the highest degree as once you pave paradise and put up a parking lot, you never get it back. This Bill also further hurts and deeply disrespects Indigenous Peoples who have stewarded and protected this land we call home for thousands of years. Going forward with Bill 5 would not only be a detriment to all Ontarions who deserve to live among thriving, healthy ecosystems, but it also breaks trust and relationships with Indigenous communities. Pushing Bill 5 forward would ensure that neither I nor most of my friends and family ever support a Conservative premier ever again.
