As a concerned Ontario resident and parent, I strongly oppose Bill 5. This legislation is unacceptable—it grants unprecedented power to the Premier and Cabinet to override any provincial or municipal law at their discretion. It dismantles hard-won protections for endangered species, workers' rights, environmental safety, and even basic civil liberties. This is not responsible governance—it’s a dangerous overreach that puts private interests ahead of public good. Our children deserve a future where laws protect nature, fairness, and community, not one shaped by backroom deals and unchecked power. I urge the government to withdraw Bill 5 and uphold the democratic values and legal safeguards that Ontarians count on.
