I believe that Bill 5 will prioritize development and business over wildlife in this province. We are the caretakers of our environment, and the red tape you want to cut is protecting the land, plants, and animals that need our protection. In this case, cutting red tape means removing barriers to development at the expense of the environment and at-risk species. We should be strengthening protections, not removing them. The elimination of the Endangered Species Act and the creation of “regulation-free zones” is clear evidence that this province wants to prioritize business over caring for this land. This is an unacceptable dereliction of responsibility.
