A comprehensive analysis SHOULD be completed BEFORE any new development takes place. The impact on the environment and most importantly the future impact on the community at the potential loss of ecosystem balance should be calculated before any actions are taken that will result in the loss
We should not be unleashing the economy at the risk of environmental loss and degradation.
This is an opportunity to encourage growth in a new sector that aims to protect the environment for future generations and find ways to build sustainable infrastructure that combines modern industrialization with respect to the delicate balance of the environment.
We all breathe air, drink water, and eat the fruits of the earth. Our ecosystem (the one that made it possible for humans to exists and supports human life) is a delicate balanced interconnected system and should be studied and analyzed in whole. Industrialization is not necessary for human survival. And up until now it's been done at the expense of the environment. Humans have been around for longer than our industrial modern system and humans have been fed, clothed and housed by the environment which is already adept at answering human needs. Unleashing the economy of Ontario could include the creation of jobs and socioeconomic growth that respects and is in sync with our natural environment.
