I strongly oppose. The conservation of endangered species and their habitats should not be based on how much it affects an industry or business. Even if it slows down or costs more, retaining biodiversity is irreplaceable and irreversible compared to just human economics. Industry should not get shortcuts and it is ridiculous and idiotic to allow these safeguards to become so lenient. We shouldn’t allow work to start before thorough oversight just like we shouldn’t bulldoze a neighbourhood before we evacuate.
