I am writing to object to the proposed exemptions from the Environmental Bill of Rights that will remove the right of Ontarians to be advised of, or to comment on, any required permits at Ontario Place, on or off site, to support the project. This goes too far.
The Environmental Bill of Rights exists to protect Ontario's environment in all its forms for our kids and their children. What right have we to take this away?
Also I am concerned about the plan to change CSO so that sewage may discharge into an area used by the public.
This Therme Spa project at Ontario Place is not good idea and neither is Bill 5 if it degrades our environment and our democratic right to know what our government is doing.
