Please reconsider the bill in its current form. The government should not be able to unilaterally decide whether a species is considered endangered. “Feeding” is not included in the activities that give rise to a habitat, and the proposed definition of habitat is too narrow. Animals need complete ecosystems to thrive, and not just the immediate area surrounding their dwelling. This feels like an attempt to get around the current bottleneck of projects waiting for approvals - consider putting the efforts into clearing the backlogs instead.
