These changes are dangerous. They read like an attempt to skirt environmental laws and labor laws.
Ontario passing a bill like this during the trade war will make it look as of Ontario is in support of the Trump presidency and it's actions. The Ontario government has already positioned itself as against the Trump administration and in support of Canadian business.
I severely object to the proposed interm changes to The Endangered Species Act and The Species Conservation Act. These acts are critical. They should not be changed.
Invest in low cost housing in areas that are already developed but empty.
Many small towns and even much of Hamilton have many empty stores and buildings that could be renovated or removed and reconstructed as low cost community housing, addressing the housing crisis effectively without destroying thousands of acres of protected land.
