I am strongly opposed to any changes that weaken or eliminate any protections or regulations that may negatively impact any species and most vehemently endangered species and sensitive environments. The suggestion that this would be necessary to facilitate something as selfish and callous as urban sprawl is abhorrent and disgusting. If anything we should be further strengthening regulations around the environment as we lose more and more land to ugly capitalist sprawl. Cities already have lots of space to increase density or better-use lands that have already been developed without sacrificing more. Once again the provincial government is only interested in enriching developers and furthering their corruption and desecration of the beautiful spaces and wildlife that makes Ontario such a great place to live.
