I believe that this bill will not help but in fact further eliminate the dwindling population of endanger species we have. The bill proposes: "establish a new Species Conservation Program to support voluntary initiatives like habitat restoration that protect and conserve species", the irony in that is this bill is proposed to help speed the process of building houses and infrastructure. How can this bill help with habitat restoration when in most likely scenario, the areas that houses and infrastructure will be built on are in protected land. This is another scheme that the current Ontario governing party is trying to get their hands on the greenbelt to line up their pockets.
