As someone who lives in the Greenbelt, I do not agree with the proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act. This can be highlighted simply by the change in language from “Endangered species” to “Conserved species”. Endangered is a specific definition which requires more thought and care than simple “conservation” efforts would do. Endangered species are classified that way for a reason and should remain that way. I do not agree with the current conservative government wanting to open up the Greenbelt.
