Dear Ontario Provincial Government,
As a citizen of Ontario, I do not support this regulation. Section 7 of the Greenbelt Act, is a key provision to ensuring an environmentally protected Ontario. There is no need to dismantle environmental protection in the name of economic growth, when the unemployment rate is at a record low. Climate protections are not obstacles, but necessary measures to ensure a habitable earth for future generations. One cannot eat a dollar bill.
During the election, a plank of the conservative platform was the unambiguous protection of the Greenbelt. I expected this campaign promise to be upheld. Please do not adopt this regulation.
