This change to the Planning Act will irresponsibly grant a free pass to industry to strip Ontario of its best resources and our best defenses against increased natural hazards: the most fertile agricultural land in all of Canada, clean water, natural ecosystems, and the possibilities for jobs from these valuable resources.
The lack of requirement for public notices and hearings is an affront to democracy and prioritizes corporations over people.
