While I recognize that the Ontario government is keen to accelerate certain projects (business, transit, housing), there needs to be a higher priority given to protecting our natural environment. Species and habitat, once lost, are gone forever.

Therefore it is extremely concerning to see the government pushing forward a bill which waters down or makes it so easy for developers to subvert the hard-fought protections which are currently in place to protect species and mitigate the degradation of our habitats, with implications for climate change too.

Do not be so short-sighted! Nature belongs to all of us, and we are robbing our children of a healthy future.
