I strongly oppose this proposal. Prioritizing corporations over the environment is short-sighted and dangerous. Regulation and oversight is necessary, because the purpose of corporations is to make money in whatever way is the quickest and easiest - voluntary measures will never work. Removing important protections for vulnerable species in order to speed up growth is not in the interest of Ontarians - once those species are gone, they can't be brought back.
