The suggestion to remove the requirement for public consultation is unacceptable - to suggest that it could be done after passing a bylaw would be ineffective and not meaningful. As it stands today many people feel that public consultation is not effective, but that doesn't mean a government should dismiss it.
This tool also says nothing to preserving the natural environment - the "Ontario Government for the People" should consider all people, not just business. What about the future generations, what about those people that value the environment and don't want to continue to see it developed strictly to bring in more tax dollars.
