This is ridiculous.
Protecting wildlife is more than just protecting an animal.
Wildlife and healthy biodiversity and ecosystems offer so much to society, including cleaner air, CO2 sinks, climate resilience, mental health support etc.
Getting rid of this act in order to push "economic growth" is short sighted and not what Ontario really stands for. There are other ways to "grow the economy' that doesn't include ridding vulnerable and important beings of protection and conservation efforts.
Ontario needs to do better than cutting corners to get where it wants to go.
Time to rethink the priorities and not throw every thing out the window with the only goal being "the economy" paired with short sighted thinking.
