This proposal is abhorrent. Removing the red tape to fast-track economic growth at the cost of habitat and endangered species is human-centric thinking. Living in balance with other animals (yes, we are animals) is fundamental to the survival of humans. Taking land that is already in use - by a thriving eco-system - for money is evidence of a corrupt society. This process SHOULD be slow. It should be respectful and no government should be given the authority to remove endangered species from protection for their own gain. We are better than that. We need to use what we have BETTER, not take stuff we don’t need. We need wildlife, we need ecosystems, we need programs to enforce recycling of technology so we can leave rare earth minerals in the ground. We are better than this. This is greed masked as protection from Trump but we’re not that stupid.
