Toxic substances are poisonous to humans, animals and the environment. Corporations and businesses who deal with these substances need monitoring by the government. They cannot be trusted to do what is best when money and shareholders are involved. Removing reporting and inspections will affect the health and well being of the citizens of Ontario. Has this government learned nothing from past environmental and health disasters? This bill is a step backwards to lax environmental standards which will cause increased costs for health services down the road which taxpayers, not corporate polluters will pay. For the people? I don’t think so. Do not pass this bill.
