I am really worried about…

I am really worried about the health of our environment and the lack of responsibility for your government with the proposed Bill 5. The new law gives cabinet (not a committee of scientists, as was previously the case) the power to decide which animals and plants should be protected, and abolishes obligations for the government to create recovery strategies and report on them. I am deeply concerned that your government is avoiding public accountability and shielding yourself from civil liability. The bill includes protection against lawsuits for anyone involved in a project within a special economic zone.

This is very unfair for Ontarians and I believe it is very dangerous and could result in the endangering our environment which could also affect our health and safety. Please do not eliminate good environmental assessment in the goal of building.
